Limited Physical Version of ‘Mundaun’ Goes on Sale This Thursday

Fans of physical media can rejoice once again, particularly if you’re a fan of Hidden Fields’ stylized folk-horror game Mundaun. The developer has teamed up with Super Rare Games and Mundaun‘s publisher, MWM Interactive, to produce a physical version of the title for the Nintendo Switch. And you won’t have to wait long to buy it.

Limited to 4000 copies, the physical version of Mundaun goes on sale on November 25 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET. The package comes with the cartridge (obviously), interior artwork, a full-colour manual (remember those?), an exclusive sticker, and a set of three trading cards. Reminder that this is a region-free release, so North Americans won’t have to worry about region-locking.

In case you’re not familiar (and missed our review earlier this year), Mundaun was initially created as a passion project for Hidden Fields’ founder Michel Ziegler. The game takes place in the Swiss alps, where after learning of your grandfather’s mysterious death, you return to the tiny town of Mundaun for the first time since your youth to investigate. You’ll traverse through a variety of environments, as well as interact with the odd inhabitants of Mundaun, and solve puzzles in order to progress.

Mundaun is also available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One.
