The Otherworldly and Bizarre ‘Broadcast Signal Intrusion’ Transferred to Blu-ray and DVD

Follow the tapes.

The Signal co-director Jacob Gentry returns with Broadcast Signal Intrusion (review), a truly bizarre new thriller that’s based on actual broadcast interruptions in Chicago in the late 1980s that remain unsolved to this day. After a SXSW premiere and digital release, the film Meagan Navarro calls an “eerie neo-noir technological nightmare” will arrive on both DVD and Blu-ray December 7, 2021, from Dark Sky Films.

In the film starring Harry Shum Jr. (Glee, Crazy Rich Asians)…

“While logging tapes of decades-old TV broadcasts, video archivist James discovers a surreal and disturbing clip that James believes is the product of a mysterious broadcast signal hacking. His discovery takes a sinister turn when he tracks down similar broadcast intrusions that send him on an obsessive mission. Now James must confront two very real possibilities: that the videos may be clues to a crime beyond all comprehension; and that whoever was behind them may be very aware that James is coming uncomfortably close to the truth.”

Tim Woodall and Phil Drinkwater wrote the script. Kelley Mack (The Walking Dead) and Chris Sullivan (This Is Us, Stranger Things) also star alongside Shum Jr., who executive produced.
