[Trailer] Dark Surreal Action Platformer ‘Somber’ Follows in The Vein of ‘LIMBO’

We all love LIMBO, right? And while we never did get a sequel to Playdead’s gem, indie developers David Söderström, Mikaela Marti and Evelyn Petterson are looking to do the next best thing with their upcoming action platformer, Somber. Combining gameplay mechanics found in the Ori series with the styled look of LIMBO, Somber is eyeing a release on Steam in Q1 2022.

The story for Somber takes place in the dimly lit world of Gloom. You are a “friendly but deadly creature” whose mission is to help anyone in need and make things right. This is in a Tim Burton-eqsue world that while the protagonist doesn’t appear to be horribly dismembered if things go wrong, it still has that unnerving surreal quality to it.
