‘The Batman’: Colin Farrell Will Return as The Penguin in a Planned Spinoff Series for HBO Max

From director Matt ReevesThe Batman is currently set to release in theaters on March 4, 2022, and various spinoff projects are already in the works. In addition to the previously announced spinoff series set in Gotham City, HBO Max is also developing a planned spinoff series centered on Penguin, being played by Colin Farrell in The Batman.

Variety confirms tonight that Farrell will reprise the role for the upcoming series!

The website details the project…

“The series would delve into The Penguin’s rise to power in the Gotham criminal underworld.”

Lauren LeFranc is on board the writing team.

Matt Reeves will executive produce alongside Farrell.
