‘Scream’ Is a Massive Box Office Hit; Slashes Into a $35M+ 4-Day Opening!

Horror is king once again with Scream (spoiler-free review) slaying Spider-Man: No Way Home and taking the top spot at this holiday weekend’s box office!

Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group are celebrating a monster hit with the franchise revival this time directed by Radio Silence, taking the reigns from horror master Wes Craven.

Early numbers are in and Scream is smash-hit with the fifth entry earning an estimated $30.5M over the weekend and $35M+ over the 4-day holiday here in the States.

These numbers are massive in comparison to Scream 4, which opened back in 2011 to only $18.6M and ended its domestic run with only $38M. It never crossed the $100M mark worldwide and shut the door on sequels for over a decade. The new Scream will surpass its predecessor this coming week and could top $100M here in the States alone.

You’re gonna love this one. It’s a scream, baby!
