‘Speak No Evil’ Trailer Screams for Help Ahead of Sundance Premiere [Video]

TrustNordisk, who has been behind some really cool films from Lake of Death to Frost and Breaking Surface, just released a festival trailer for director and screenwriter Christian Tafdrup’s upcoming psychological horror, Speak No Evil, which is set to World Premiere at next week’s Sundance Film Festival.

In the film, which turns a vacation into a nightmare…

“On a vacation in Toscana, a Danish family instantly becomes friends with a Dutch family. Months later, the Danish couple receives an unexpected invitation to visit the Dutch in their wooden house and decide to go for the weekend. However, it doesn’t take long before the joy of reunion is replaced with misunderstandings. Things gradually get out of hand, as the Dutch turn out to be something very else than what they have pretended to be. The small Danish family now find themselves trapped in a house, that they wish they had never entered.”

Speak No Evil stars Morten Burian, Sidsel Siem, Koch Fedja, Van Huêt, Karina Smulders, Liva Forsberg, and Marius Damslev.

The screenplay for the film is written by Tafdrup himself and his brother Mads Tafdrup and is produced by the experienced team from Profile Pictures, Jacob Jarek and Ditte Milsted.

The film was shot at different locations locally in Denmark and the Netherlands, as well as Italy.
