YouTube Channel Dead Meat Takes You on a Tour of the Original ‘Scream’ House as It Appears Today! [Video]

While many iconic movie houses are made up of real-life exteriors and faux interiors that were built on soundstages, Stu Macher’s iconic house from Scream (1996) actually exists in real life – both exterior and interior. The house is located in Tomales, California, and over 25 years after the release of Wes Craven’s slasher classic, it still looks very much the same today.

Stu’s house is of course a central location in the film, where the climactic events of the final act play out. While we wait for the return of the franchise – and the return of the house! – in this weekend’s brand new Scream movie, James and Chelsea from the popular YouTube channel Dead Meat are taking us on a virtual tour of Stu’s house, showing us what it looks like today.

The Dead Meat team’s “Scream House Tour” video is a deep dive into the iconic locations from the movie, including the living room where Randy lays out the rules of horror, the bedroom where Sidney realizes that her boyfriend Billy really is the Ghostface killer, and of course, the kitchen where Billy and Stu stab each other and reveal their master plan to Sidney.

It’s the next best thing to stepping foot inside Stu’s house for yourself. Enjoy!
