‘Wrong Turn’ Sequel Director Declan O’Brien Has Passed Away at 56

Terribly sad news in the horror world this weekend with reports of the passing of Declan O’Brien, the writer and director of three Wrong Turn sequels, Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead, Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings, and Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines.

Deadline shared the surprising news this morning, writing that he actually passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 56. He is survived by his three children: Alec O’Brien, Aidan O’Brien, and Caitlin O’Brien.

While horror fans will know Declan as the Wrong Turn director best, he also got behind the camera for both Joy Ride 3: Roadkill and 2010’s Sharktopus.

He is survived by his three children: Alec O’Brien, Aidan O’Brien, and Caitlin O’Brien. A ceremony will be held for Declan O’Brien on May 13, 2022.
