Earwig, the new film from French filmmaker Lucile Hadzihalilovic, is finally heading to UK cinemas this June, and with it comes the first trailer.
In the film…
“Somewhere in Europe, mid-20th century. Albert is employed to look after 10-year-old Mia. His most important task is to see to her ice dentures, which must be changed several times a day. Every week, the telephone rings and The Master questions Albert about the girl’s wellbeing; every week he gives the same answers. Until one day The Master tells him that he must prepare the girl to leave…”
Starring are Paul Hilton, Alex Lawther, Romane Hemelaers and Romola Garai.
The film made a huge festival run last year, screening at Sitges, Beyond Fest and even the Toronto International Film Festival.
