‘The Devil’s Rejects’ Actress Jossara Jinaro Has Passed Away at 48

Rob Zombie brings us the sad news this week that actress Jossara Jinaro has passed away at the age of 48, the actress known to horror fans for her role in The Devil’s Rejects.

Zombie writes on Instagram, “So sad to hear about the death of Jossara Jinaro. As you will remember she played the maid of the Kahiki Palms motel in The Devil’s Rejects. It was a small role but she was terrific. @jossarajinaro later reunited in 2019 with myself, @sherimoonzombieofficial and @choptopmoseley for looping session on 3 From Hell.”

Born on May 25, 1973 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Jossara Jinaro got her acting start in the late 1990s on TV shows including “Placas,” and “Viva Vegas,” later appearing on the small screen in “Judging Amy,” “American Family,” “ER,” “Without a Trace,” “The Young and the Restless,” “Passions,” “Doctor Who: Alternate Empire,” “East Lost High,” and “I Am The (…)”.

On the big screen, Jossara Jinaro appeared in films including Collateral Damage, World Trade Center, Honey 2, Puss in Boots, and most recently, Cucuy: The Boogeyman.

Jinaro’s husband Matt Bogado writes on Facebook, “Jossara bravely fought cancer and came home to be surrounded by family. Jossara was an amazing wife, mother, artist, and friend. She had the most beautiful, kind soul and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Even in her last moments, she was still fighting. She is now resting in peace and will be remembered forever. Myself, Liam, and Emrys will miss her so deeply, although we know she is in our hearts and guiding us every step of the way. A public memorial service will be held in the Bay Area.”

All of us here on BD send our deepest condolences to Jossara Jinaro’s friends and family.
