The rumour regarding Kojima and Microsoft has turned out to be true. Kojima himself made the news official yesterday during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 that Kojima Productions and Xbox Games Studios have partnered for Kojima’s next project.
In a video message, Kojima confirmed that this new game is one that he has “always wanted to make.” Kojima stated that the title will be a “completely new game, one that no one has ever experienced or seen before.”
Kojima hinted that his new title will take advantage of Microsoft’s cloud technology. “It may take some time, but I’m looking forward to teaming up with Xbox Game Studios and hope to bring you some exciting news in the future! Thank you!”
As for just what this new game is, that remains to be seen. However, given the rumour that surfaced last week regarding Kojima’s horror game known as Overdose, we may be seeing something very soon.
