New ‘Redfall’ Trailer Welcomes Players to Vampire-Plagued Massachusetts [Watch]

Eager to get an introduction to Arkane’s upcoming open-world FPS Redfall before it’s released next year? Arkane has you covered with the new “Welcome to Redfall” trailer. Accompanying the new Redfall trailer is a new blog post on publisher Bethesda’s website that delves into more details about the game.

Redfall takes place in the island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, which is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the citizens off from the outside world. Allying with a handful of survivors, you’ve got to unravel the mystery behind the vampires’ appearance while also doing a bit of slaying.

Choosing from four different heroes, players can go at it alone against the vampires, or team up with up to three other players. “A huge emphasis for Redfall has been the solo experience, in keeping with Arkane’s passions,” explains Studio/Creative Director Harvey Smith. “Redfall is an open world game, but it can be soloed with any of the heroes. The pace becomes more exploratory; you can use recon and stealth to gather info on encounters and avoid enemies or get the drop on them.”

Originally scheduled for release this summer, Redfall is expected to be released in the first half of 2023 for the Xbox Series and PC via Steam.
