Cosmic Horror and Bullet Hell Collide in ‘Luna Abyss’ [Trailer]

If you fancy a bullet hell shooter with cosmic horror thrown into the mix, developer Bonsai Collective has the game for you with Luna Abyss. Currently in development n development for PC via Steam, the game is also being developed for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, though it’s not clear whether it’s current-gen or the previous generation.

Described as a “narrative-driven, first-person action-adventure game”, Luna Abyss puts you as a prisoner sentenced to explore a derelict megastructure that sprawls deep beneath the surface of the mimic moon Luna. Tasked with recovering technology from within the megastructure and what happened to the colony, you’ll be monitored on your mission by the artificial prison guard know as Aylin. However, you soon find out that Aylin isn’t the only one watching you.

The centuries-old ruins of the megastructure are filled with maddening echoes, telling hints of what was once the prosperous city of Greymont, and its terrible fate.

Luna Abyss will focus on platforming as you make your way through the megastructure, not to mention having to survive the onslaught of the corrupted souls and cosmic horrors found within. You’ll have to employ lightning-fast reflexes as you dodge and weave through waves of enemy projectiles, while in turn returning fire.

In addition to the trailer for Luna Abyss, IGN also has an image gallery.
