[Gamescom 2022] SHODAN Returns to Narrate The New ‘System Shock’ Trailer [Video]

Nightdive has been creeping ever closer to finally getting their System Shock remake out the door, and at Gamescom, they’re getting the hype going once again with a new trailer. This time, we get the extra special treat of having the new trailer for System Shock narrated by SHODAN herself!

Yep, that’s Terri Brosius, the voice of SHODAN from the original System Shock, returning again to voice the iconic AI in the remake. As is the norm for SHODAN, she voices her disdain for humans before introducing us to Citadel Station and its cyborg inhabitants, which has never looked better. There are also a few shots of the hacking minigames, which predictably have also been given a facelift from the original.

As for when we can finally set foot on Citadel Station, that’s the big question. The remake has been in the works since the Kickstarter launched way back in 2016. Nonetheless, Nightdive maintains that System Shock will be released later this year for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Meanwhile, Nightdive has teamed up with Binge to develop a live-action adaptation of System Shock exclusively to Binge.com, with Greg Russo (Mortal Kombat) handling the writing & directing duties.
