Free Survival Horror Roguelike ‘Quasimorphosis: Exordium’ to Receive a More-Developed Version [Trailer]

Some of you have probably played MgnmScrptmDvs’ survival horror roguelike Quasimorphosis: Exordium, which is currently free-to-play on Steam. Well, there’s some good news for fans of the game, as MgnmScrptmDvs have partnered with publisher HypeTrain Digital to give us a more fully-developed version of their game.

Quasimorphosis: Exordium (and likewise, the upcoming Quasimorphosis) is described as a mix of Event Horizon, Alien, PandorumXtro, with a bit of Clive Barker thrown in. With space itself having become privatized, corporations have seized control of the Solar System. Players take on the role of a PMC (Private Military Company) operator amidst a “great tragedy” onboard the Frantseva-7 station. That tragedy just so happens to involve demons that have arrived in our world.

Unlike Exordium, Quasimorphosis will see players travel throughout the Solar system, discovering planetary bases, secret labs, spaceship wreckage and more. In doing so, you’ll be able to reap the rewards of technology. As a result of the expanded gameplay, you’ll not only have to deal with maintaining your crew aboard your ship, but also have to deal with the various factions from other corporations.

Seeing as this is a roguelike, missions in Quasimorphosis come with a certain chance of death. Luckily, every veteran fighter’s brain data and psyche (including your skills) are stored on a data disk and copied to a clone at should you expire. However, you’ll have to be on the lookout for these disks, since they’re not exactly in great supply. And yes, as it was in Exordium, you’ll be having to deal with a demon problem, thanks to rifts from a parallel dimension opening up on occasion.

Currently, there’s no release date as of yet for Quasimorphosis, but thanks to Quasimorphosis: Exordium (which again, is free to play), you can get a taste of what’s to come. And don’t worry, as MgnmScrptmDvs is still working on Quasimorphosis: Exordium, with the game recently receiving a new update with a bunch of gameplay tweaks and fixes.

Thanks to PCGamer for the heads up.

The Top 10 Streaming Scary Movies of Today (According to Netflix)

Given that Netflix really is the master of their own data, how many times a viewer streams The Ridiculous 6, or what films don't get watched all the way straight through, or how many times someone watches an episode of Bill Nye Saves the World, it was easy for them to come up with the list based on just one percentage: 70 percent.
