‘Dead Mall’ – Peek Inside the Pages of Adam Cesare’s Cosmic Horror Story from Dark Horse Comics [Exclusive]

Headed our way this Halloween season is Adam Cesare, David Stoll and Justin Birch‘s new horror comic Dead Mall, which will be available October 26 from Dark Horse Comics.

In Dead Mall #1, “The Penn Mills Galleria is about to be demolished. Five teens sneak into the mall to take a last look around before it’s gone. However, while Penn Mills has been closed for years, the mall is far from abandoned. A night of exploration becomes a shopping spree from hell.

“The teens must contend with the sprawling, transformative cosmic horror of Penn Mills or be trapped forever within the Dead Mall.”

The comic’s writer, Adam Cesare is a critically acclaimed horror author and is a leading voice in the emerging genre of contemporary YA horror — he’s “John Hughes meets John Carpenter.” His empathy-driven, dark humor-saturated novels occupy a similar space as the much-lauded horror novelist Stephen Graham Jones (who has provided blurbs for Adam’s novels).

Adam’s recent release and biggest seller to date, Clown in a Cornfield, earned a 2020 Bram Stoker Award nomination, multiple starred reviews, and has been optioned for movie rights.

Dead Mall features art by David Stoll, and lettering by Justin Birch.
