Psychological VR Horror Game ‘Do Not Open’ Coming to Steam This Week

While PlayStation 5 owners are currently enjoying Nox Noctis’ VR horror game Do Not Open, Steam users unfortunately have to wait a little longer. Originally scheduled for a November 15 release, Do Not Open will instead arrive on Steam this week.

Described as being based on procedural puzzle generation mixed with “classic survival-horror mechanics”, Do Not Open will arrive on Steam on November 30. The PlayStation 4 and VR versions for PC and PlayStation VR2 are still scheduled to arrive in 2023. For you North American physical media junkies, the physical version is also expected in early 2023.

In Do Not Open, players assume the role of Michael J. Goreng, a well-known zoologist and epidemiologist trapped in a warped version of his house, with his wife and daughter missing. Stalked by a paranormal threat, you must escape the house. Time is not on your side, however. With the clock ticking down to zero, you must solve the puzzles within each room you encounter in order to survive.

Nox Noctis promises high replayability in Do Not Open, with different combinations and item placement, and different layers of the main stages of the house. To add even more intrigue, even the plot and lore will be a puzzle by themselves, requiring the player to discover the mystery that surrounds the house.
