Alisha Weir Joins the Cast of Mysterious Universal Monsters Movie from Radio Silence

Radio Silence (V/H/S, Southbound, Scream, Scream VI) will be directing an “Untitled Monster Thriller” for Universal, and THR brings us more casting news today.

Alisha Weir (Matilda: The Musical) has joined the cast.

Melissa Barrera, who of course plays a pivotal role in Radio Silence’s two Scream movies, also recently signed on to star in the mysterious untitled horror movie.

THR previews, “The project was at one point titled Dracula’s Daughter. That project centered on a group of kidnappers who abduct a band of young people, one of whom ends up being the titular character. Woe then betides the kidnappers. Weir is playing the kidnappee who proves to be more than she appears, with Barrera playing one of the kidnappers.”

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett will direct with Chad Villella serving as producer alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt at Project X Entertainment.

The script was written by Stephen Shields, with revisions by Guy Busick.

What’s going on with Scream 7, you ask? The third installment in the new franchise hasn’t yet been announced, but we expect it won’t be long before Ghostface returns again.

Stay tuned for more on all things Radio Silence as we learn it.
