Check Out the Prototype for Bodycam Horror Game ‘Deppart’ [Video]

Bodycam Horror is not something you’d hear or think of when it comes to First Person Shooters, which is why N4bA’s Deppart has already succeeded. Available in prototype form over on itch.io, the game is powered by Unreal 5, and looks as gorgeous as it is terrifying.

Focused on realistic player movement and intense high-risk combat, Deppart‘s premise has you exploring a creepy abandoned building. As you navigate through the various rooms, you’ll find out that you’re not quite alone. In fact, the monsters that you do find tower over you, and can kill you with one hit.

Not much of a plot at the moment (obviously), but when you’re up against lethally-fast monsters, you’re kind of more concerned about surviving than anything. At the moment, the game is around ten minutes in length, but that’s enough to get your fix. The claustrophobic atmosphere is enhanced by the distortion presented by the “bodycam” view. That’s on top of the tension that’s already at its peak, thanks to the the near total silence as you walk through the building.

And yeah, there are some cheap jump scares in Deppart. But really, you have to appreciate the presentation.

Big thanks to Alpha Beta Gamer for finding this one. You can check out their playthrough below.
