In the wake of last week’s Season 2 finale of “Yellowjackets,” which burned down a central location, killed off a major character, and wrapped up several storylines, you may be wondering how much longer you have to wait for “Yellowjackets” Season 3. Unfortunately, the team can’t work on writing the scripts due to the ongoing WGA strike – the blame there is not on the strike, we have to stress, but rather the studios and streamers refusing to pay their writers fair wages – so it’s probably going to be quite a while before Season 3 enters our lives.
The good news? Co-creator/co-showrunner Ashley Lyle tweets this week that a special bonus episode of “Yellowjackets” is planned, and it’ll air BEFORE the Season 3 premiere.
“There will be a bonus episode between seasons,” Lyle reveals.
No word yet on when “Yellowjackets” Season 3 or this mysterious bonus episode will arrive, but we assume it’ll be a while before the show returns in any capacity. Stay tuned.
“Yellowjackets” was created by Ashley Lyle & Bart Nickerson (“Narcos”), described as being “equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama.”
