‘Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle’ Launch Trailer Sets the Mood Thanks to Lacuna Coil’s Cristina Scabbia [Watch]

Ahead of the launch of Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle in a few weeks, developer Invader Studios has released the game’s launch trailer. The trailer presents the nightmare you’ll be facing in this follow-up to 2019’s Daymare: 1998, and includes the vocal talents of Lacuna Coil’s Cristina Scabbia.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle cast players as special agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of the H.A.D.E.S. (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) unit. Reyes’ mission seems simple: enter the most advanced experimental research centre in the United States of America. As expected, Reyes will be up against formidable enemies, some of whom won’t quite stay dead, coming back in a completely new form and even deadlier than before.

With its retro-inspired mechanics and modern twists, Invader Studios aims to have the game deliver “an adrenaline-pumping journey through a world of terror, intrigue, and suspense.” Plus, as a nod to its inspiration and roots, Daymare will also feature a cameo by Resident Evil‘s Charlie Kraslavsky.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle will launch for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch on August 30th. And in case you missed it, you can pre-order the game’s limited Collector’s Edition right now.
