‘Mortal Kombat 1’ Pre-Order Beta Codes Now Available on PlayStation and Xbox [Trailer]

As the trailer description says, a weekend of Kombat is on the horizon. Mortal Kombat 1 will be having its Pre-Order Beta this weekend, which will run from August 18 through August 21 on PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. Beta codes are now available to download on those respective platforms.

The Beta is open to anyone who has pre-ordered the Mortal Kombat 1 Standard, Premium, or Kollector’s Edition for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series (sorry, PC and Switch fans). Those who got in on the Online Stress Test will not automatically be granted access to the Pre-Order Beta, so make sure you’ve got your pre-order locked in.

Unlike the previous Online Stress Test, this time around, players will have access to new Kombatants and Kameo Fighters. The Mortal Kombat 1 Beta will support 1v1 online multiplayer, as well as a limited single-player Klassic Towers mode against A.I. opponents.

You’ll be able to select from Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Kitana, Johnny Cage, and Li Mei across The Teahouse and Johnny Cage’s Mansion stages alongside Kameo Fighters Kano, Sonya, Jax, and Frost.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set for release on September 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
