Build, Hide, and Survive in ‘Confronted’; Steam Demo Coming February 20

Grumpy Rock Studios is mixing things up with their Survival Horror title, Confronted, which is currently in Early Access on Steam. And for those who are on the fence about grabbing the game while its still in its Early Access phase, you’ll be happy to know that a demo will be arriving on February 20.

Confronted has you delve into the depths of Radu Castle’s horrors as Dorinela, driven by a desperate plea from the past. While you’re unable to fight against the malevolent beings in the castle, you’re able to at least keep them at bay by building hideouts to evade them. These same foes will force you to strategise how, when and where you build.

In addition to fending off enemies, you’ll explore the haunting environments of Radu Castle by solving puzzles to progress through the three chapters of Confronted. Currently, the first chapter is available in Early Access, with the additional chapters being released as they’re completed. Those who purchase the game in Early Access will have access to the additional chapters for free.

The team plans on releasing Confronted in full in 2026, once all three chapters have been completed. Additionally, the time spent in Early Access will allow Grump Rock Studios time to “enrich the game with more depth, challenges, and narrative layers.”
