Survive a Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland in ‘MINSK’ [Video]

Developer/publisher sodesign looks to scratch that post-apocalyptic itch for Survival Horror fans with their upcoming third-person shooter MINSK, which recently had nine minutes of gameplay revealed to get you in the mood. Courtesy of YouTube channel Punish, the video shows off the wasteland you’ll have to navigate, as well as glimpses of the enemies you’ll be having to fend off as you scavenge for supplies.

The story for MINSK, centres around a post-apocalyptic world (naturally). On the brink of extinction, survivors hide from a toxic fog. You play as a robot that is the last hope for survival, where you must traverse into abandoned cities to find essential resources for your creators’ survival. Things aren’t so easy, as you’ll not only need to navigate the crumbling buildings, but also deal with whatever’s wandering around the surface.

According to the game’s Steam page, MINSK will have a heavy focus on storytelling, with a narrative that “promises suspense, danger, and emotional depth.” The game will also feature unique interaction system between the human and the player, where the human sends messages to help the player navigate tasks. Along with combat and exploration, you’ll also using the familiar Survival Horror tropes of puzzle-solving and juggling your resources . Rather than being a stereotypical clunker, the robot can jump, crouch, and climb as it navigates the wasteland.

No word yet on a release date, but you can currently sign up for MINSK‘s playtest from the Steam page.

Thanks to DSOGaming for spotting this.
