All Episodes of ‘TerrorBytes: The Evolution of Horror Gaming’ Now Available [Trailer]

After giving fans a taste of what was to come back in March, CreatorVC (the minds behind the critically-acclaimed In Search of Darkness trilogy) has now released the full five-part series of TerrorBytes: The Evolution of Horror Gaming. Available now digitally via the official site, the fan-funded docuseries features interviews with over 50 horror luminaries, including John Carpenter, Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka, Sierra On-Line co-founder and Phantasmagoria director Roberta Williams, Deadly Premonition director Swery65, DOOM and Quake co-creator John Romero, Dead By Daylight directors Mathieu Coté and Dave Richard, and many more.

Each episode delves into a different theme, beginning with ‘Enter The Survival Horror’ and then moving onto ‘Lethal Licenses’, ‘Narrative Nightmares’ (FMV and interactive movie games), the
‘Rise of the Indies’, and ending on ‘Cursed and Controversial’. Throughout the series, viewers get a closer look at how horror games are made, what drives and inspires horror game developers, why horror is such a powerful vehicle for interactive entertainment, and why horror has become such a diverse and vibrant space for video games that dare to step outside of conventional power fantasies.

For those that backed the series during its Kickstarter campaign, TerrorBytes will have its limited-edition Blu-Ray shipped out to backers in July.
