‘Buckshot Roulette’ Developer Announces Psychological Horror Title ‘s.p.l.i.t’ Launches July 24 [Trailer]

Mike Klubnika, the solo developer behind Buckshot Roulette, has announced that their follow-up title in the immersive psychological horror title, s.p.l.i.t, will launch on PC via Steam on July 24. A short psychological horror game, s.p.l.i.t thrusts players into the dark world of cybercrime as they attempt to hack and gain root access to an unethical superstructure.

With a focus on immersive and tactile raw terminal hacking, players will use various command line inputs to interface with the facility with the game’s diegetic and immersive UI. In addition, an in-game IRC programme allows them to chat with fellow technicians in order to plan and execute a devastating malware attack.

On top of featuring a dystopian, low-fi tech visual identity and industrial audio design, s.p.l.i.t combines that with its unsettling, psychological narrative and cerebral puzzles. The result is an “intensely atmospheric, slow-burn experience.”

Meanwhile, for console players itching to get their hands on Buckshot Roulette, the game will be headed to Xbox and Xbox Game Pass later this year.
