Zombie Plane has had it with these motherfucking zombies on this motherfucking plane, as production has wrapped on the indie action-horror-comedy.
Variety reports that Ice-T and Brian Austin Green have joined the cast, which is led by Vanilla Ice, Sophie Monk, and Chuck Norris as fictionalized versions of themselves.
In Zombie Plane, celebrities are seen by day as the faces we know and love, but by night they are saving the world from under-wraps attacks. Led by Commander Chuck Norris, they stand between world peace and humanities’ destruction.
The film aims to combine the “comedy and heart of Shaun of the Dead with the suspense and horror of World War Z and the look and feel of Barbie.”
Ice-T shot his scenes on Australia’s Gold Coast alongside Australian actor Stephen Curry and media personality Kyle Sandilands.
The cast also includes Bob Geldof, Amy Shark, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Ann Truong, Teressa Liane, Dan Ewing, Christine Milo, Ellie Gonsalves, John Jarratt, Joey Vieira, Ellie Popov, and Johnny Huang.
Co-directors Lav Bodnaruk and Michael Mier make their feature debut from a script by Bodnaruk and William Strong.
The film’s soundtrack will include tracks produced by several of its musician cast members, including Vanilla Ice and Ice-T.
“As a genre, horror has always been a powerful way to blend social commentary with outrageous entertainment,” said executive producer Shaked Berenson (Turbo Kid, Tales of Halloween). “Zombie Plane carries that torch with its absurd premise and sharp satire. We embrace the weird, the wild, and the unexpected!”
Zombie Plane is due out later this year from Entertainment Squad in the US and Radioactive Pictures in Australia.
