James DeMonaco is known for creating the iconic Purge franchise, which sadly feels more prescient with each passing day. But after a slew of successful films, DeMonaco is branching out with a new tale of terror: The Home, which tackles the massive topic of aging. Written by DeMonaco and his writing partner Adam Cantor, they both prove that they know how to craft one heck of a wild and creepy movie.
In the new film:
A rebellious twenty-something is sentenced to community service at a quiet retirement home. The residents on the fourth floor are strictly off-limits, said to require “special care.” As his suspicions grow and he digs deeper, he uncovers a chilling secret that puts both the residents’ lives and his own in grave danger.
