‘The Toxic Avenger Comics’ Launches With First Issue Featuring a Self-Contained Horror Story

Troma’s cult hero The Toxic Avenger is back with a brand new ongoing comic book series from AHOY Comics, with Issue #1 of The Toxic Avenger Comics now available in stores.

The first issue of the new series is a horror-themed story from writer Matt Bors and artist Fred Harper, paving the way for Macon Blair’s The Toxic Avenger in theaters August 29.

AHOY previews, “You demanded it, so here it is: a new ONGOING series featuring the movies’ grossest hero, masterminded by the hit creative team from 2024’s Toxic Avenger miniseries!”

Issue #1 is being described as a “self-contained horror story”…

“Kids are disappearing from Toxie’s hometown of Tromaville, NJ. Did they simply run away from the chemically polluted town? Or is the real explanation even more frightening?”

Find out before the new Toxic Avenger movie hits theaters later this summer!

The Toxic Avenger Comics will shift genres for subsequent issues, with Issue #2 set to deliver a hard-boiled crime tale and Issue #3 bringing Toxie into the world of science fiction.
