Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is one of the biggest horror events of the year, and Dread Central is excited to unveil an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the hugely successful sequel—just in time for its holiday home release.

In the newly revealed BTS clip, fans are treated to a jaw-dropping glimpse at the practical effects wizardry behind one of the film’s most chaotic moments: Mangle riding atop a moving car! The footage offers a fascinating breakdown of how the production team brought the animatronic to life, blending physical effects, stunt coordination, and technical precision to pull off the sequence.

Based on the hit horror video game franchise, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 continues the nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, where seemingly friendly animatronics conceal a deadly secret. The sequel expands the mythology of the first film, leaning into larger-scale set pieces, fan-favorite characters, and the dark history behind the haunted mascots.

Produced by Emmy-winning powerhouse Jason Blum (The Black Phone, Get Out) and written by Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon, the sequel continues expanding the eerie world of Freddy Fazbear with bigger set pieces and deeper lore.

After shattering box office records, Blumhouse Productions’ horror megablockbuster arrives exclusively on digital platforms to buy or rent on December 23, 2025, before hitting 4K UHD, Blu-ray™, and DVD on February 17, 2026, courtesy of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

Home release bonus features promise an even deeper dive into the nightmare, including cast interviews, extensive behind-the-scenes footage, and a detailed exploration of the Easter eggs hidden throughout nearly every frame of the film.

The sequel features the return of franchise favorites Josh HutchersonElizabeth LailMatthew Lillard, and Piper Rubio. It introduces new characters played by genre legends McKenna Grace, Skeet Ulrich, Wayne Knight, and Teo Briones.

Adding another layer of intrigue, several new animatronics are voiced by Megan Fox, Matthew Patrick (aka MatPat), and Kellen Goff.
