Netflix has revealed a full look at its much-anticipated Korean content lineup for 2026, with THR detailing a handful of horror titles all ordered to series.
The first, If Wishes Could Kill, follows a group of high schoolers who suddenly find themselves fated to die, cursed by a mysterious wish-granting app called GIRIGO. Desperate to escape their grim destinies, they must race against time and the deadly curse.
As Netflix’s first Korean young adult horror series, If Wishes Could Kill is helmed by director Park Youn-seo, the second unit director of Kingdom: Season 2 and co-director of Moving.
Emerging actress Jeon So-young takes on the role of Se-ah, a promising track-and-field athlete. Her beautiful friend Na-ri is played by Kang Mi-na (Welcome to Samdal-ri, Cafe Minamdang, Twelve, Love Untangled). Geon-woo, Se-ah’s boyfriend, is brought to life by Baek Sun-ho (Between Him and Her and Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard).
The ensemble’s chemistry is rounded out by Hyun Woo-seok (404 Still Remain, Time to be Strong, Cheer Up) playing Ha-joon, the group’s smart strategist, while Lee Hyo-je (Concrete Utopia, The Loop, First Love, Boar Hunt) portrays Hyeong-wook, whose wish comes true through the GIRIGO app.
Dead-End Job is a mystery-horror fantasy series that unfolds as Hyuk-jun comes across a strange employment agency offering “perfect” part-time jobs that pay 50 times the usual hourly wage — only to be thrown into a terrifying, hellish workplace with horrors he could’ve never imagined.
Director Kim Da-min, who wrote the Netflix series A Killer Paradox and directed the festival-acclaimed film FAQ, takes the helm, while director Han Jun-hee, writer and director of D.P. and Coin Locker Girl, and creator of Weak Hero Class 1, brings his expertise as executive producer to shape a truly unique horror experience.
Lee Jae-wook (Dear Hongrang, Alchemy of Souls) plays Hyuk-jun, the protagonist who jumps at the chance for a high-paying part-time job to pay off his debt. Ko Min-si (The Frog, Sweet Home) steps into the role of Yeon-joo, an accident investigator at the Labor Disaster Protection Agency. Kim Min-ha (Pachinko, Light Shop) plays Hyuk-jun’s younger sister Ji-yoon, while the mysterious Mr. S, the shady boss of Spyder Human Resource Center, is played by Lee Hee-jun (Karma, A Killer Paradox).
The East Palace is the story of Gu-cheon, a man who can traverse the world of ghosts, and Saeng-gang, a court lady with a secret, as they are summoned by the King to unearth the cursed palace’s secrets.
Nam Joo-hyuk stars as Gu-cheon, who investigates a series of bizarre royal incidents using his ability to slay ghosts with his blade. Ron Yoon-seo plays the court lady Saeng-gang, who was born with the rare ability to hear the voices of the ghosts, aiding Gu-cheon as they draw closer to the East Palace’s deep secrets. Secretly overseeing their mission is the complex and layered King, portrayed by Cho Seung-woo.
Writers Kwon So-ra and Seo Jea-won, known for their penchant for Korean occultism through works like Bulgasal: Immortal Souls and The Guest, join forces with Choi Jung-kyu (The Devil Judge, Children of Nobody) to bring this series to life.
Road (Working Title) follows two detectives as they track a series of gruesome cross-border murders, characterized by twisted bodies and mysterious dying messages.
Director Han Jun-hee, writer and director of D.P. and Coin Locker Girl, and creator of the Weak Hero franchise, who has received acclaim from both critics and audiences, brings Road to life as his latest project.
Based on the popular webcomic “Blue Road,” the series is adapted by writer Cho Eu-gene (Pilot) in collaboration with director Han Jun-hee, adding a fresh layer of intrigue to the original story.
The series stars Son Suk-ku (A Killer Paradox, D.P.) as a Korean detective leading the investigation, and Eita Nagayama (Monster, Nodame Cantabile) as his Japanese counterpart. Joining them are Kim Shin-rock (Hellbound, Uprising) as a facilitator of Korean-Japanese descent, and Choi Sung-eun (My Name is Loh Kiwan, The Sound of Magic) as a government agent assigned to the case. Jung Jae-young (Noryang: Deadly Sea, Moss) also joins the cast as a shadowy figure at the center of the case.
