Yes, Pickle Dad From “IT: Welcome to Derry” Now Has a Funko Pop

It: Welcome to Derry Pickle Dad

HBO’s “IT: Welcome to Derry” has no shortage of scares, with each episode brimming with at least one chilling sequence that had the hair on my arms standing up.

Set in the world of Stephen King’s “IT” universe, “Welcome to Derry” is based on King’s “IT” novel and expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films IT and IT Chapter Two.

While not quite the breakout hit as “Stranger Things”, the show did gain a mass following and has become somewhat of an instant classic with several scenes branded into our brains. One of which is the now-infamous “pickle dad” sequence, in which Lilly is shopping in a supermarket and comes across an aisle of pickles.

One of the jars has the grotesque, pickled face of her father brining inside – he comes to life, grinning and licks the jar from the inside. She smashes it to the ground only to have “Pickle Dad” reform, grab her, and pull her face-to-face until she wakes up from the nightmare.

Now, the disturbing monster is immortalized in plastic as Funko announces the officially licensed “Pickle Dad” Vinyl Funko Pop, pictured below. It’s available for pre-order at retailers everywhere for an SRP of $14.99. He’ll sit perfectly next to your “Pickle Rick” Funko Pop.
