‘Stranger Things: Tales from ’85’ Toys Reveal a Pumpkin Monster!

Stranger Things: Tales From ’85

Netflix’s decade-long series “Stranger Things” came to its epic conclusion last month (review), leaving us all wondering if there’s any room left for more stories in the future. Thankfully, Netflix is several steps ahead of us, having announced and shared first-look images from the canonized animated series, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, arriving later this year.

Tales From ’85 is set in the Stranger Things universe between Seasons 2 and 3 and features characters fans already know and love — but with a twist:

“The year is 1985, it’s a freezing winter in Hawkins, and our heroes are about to embark on an epic journey where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town.”

The synopsis teases new monsters, and as we all know, the second season of Stranger Things went all-in on Halloween.

A reveal from this past weekend’s Toy Fair in New York shows that toy company Jazwares has licensed Tales From ’85 and will bring an entire action figure line alongside the series. While we don’t know the full line just yet, they did have on display:

  • Max, featuring a Ghostbusters-style gun.
  • A brand-new monster: some sort of pumpkin demogorgon. A Pumpkingorgon, will you?!
  • Eleven, with her backpack and waffle. Also, if you use a HIC flashlight, the figure will reveal hidden paint!

Keep up with all of our ongoing Toy Fair coverage here.
