Sylvester Stallone and Robert Rodriguez in Talks to Bring COBRA to the Small Screen

....Say what?? Holy blood splatter and Brigitte Nielsen crap. With the director of PLANET TERROR and DESPERADO at the helm? Call me in.

It was recently announced by Stallone himself that Rodriguez may run with the property as a "series" (rock it), but the question remains -- does this mean Stallone will reprise his role? Or perhaps this will feature a younger Marion "Cobra" Cobretti and perhaps a cameo or two of an older Stallone? I'd dig either, honestly.

Here's What Stallone Had to Say Specifically:

"I'm talking with Robert Rodriguez right now about Cobra, which looks like that could happen. It's basically his baby now."
Short and sweet. That's Stallone, stone-cold. It does sound like it's a definite, although very early in the stages. Given Rodriguez, according to Stallone, has a new "baby" in COBRA, there's no doubt this property most likely will be featured on Rodriguez's El Ray Network in the very near future.

So if you have access to that network, keep it -- especially if you want to see major blood, action, and ferocity that made the classic film a cultural phenomenon, one that received acclaim and controversy for being too horrific.

That certainly was the day and age when action films seemed to cross over into the horror genre -- remember PREDATOR? We rest our case.

Potentially very good. See below. It turns out that the announcement is official according to the Carrie Bradshaw of the Sanderson bunch (Sarah Jessica Parker): there will be a "Hocus Pocus" sequel, premiering on Disney+.
