Modder Boosts ‘Bloodborne’ Framerate to a Glorious 60fps

Lance McDonald is at it again. The YouTuber with a penchant for finding hidden/cut content in games such as P.T., Dark Souls III and Bloodborne has managed to mod the latter again, this time unlocking the framerate on a PS4 Pro to give the game some 60fps love.

One of the drawbacks to Bloodborne for some is its 30fps framerate, which even with the added power with the PS4 Pro’s Boost Mode, is still locked to that framerate. Lance has created a workaround patch to remove that lock. It even works on a regular PS4, though there is a caveat in all of this: Bloodborne was coded in 30fps, and this boost in framerate does result in the timing being wonky on a base PS4. This timing issue isn’t a problem on a PS4 Pro, however.
