[R.I.P.] ‘Chernobyl Diaries’ Star Dimitri Diatchenko Has Passed Away at 52

We’ve learned the sad news today that actor Dimitri Diatchenko, known to horror fans for his role in 2012’s Chernobyl Diaries, passed away last week at just 52 years old.

According to CNN, Diatchenko was found unresponsive in his home in Daytona Beach, Florida on Wednesday, April 22nd. “Police say there were no signs of foul play,” CNN notes. “The cause of death has yet to be determined by the medical examiner’s office.”

Dimitri Diatchenko, an actor and guitarist, got his break in Hollywood when he was cast in Ridley Scott’s G.I. Jane, and he subsequently starred in “Walker, Texas Ranger,” “Alias,” “Burn Notice,” Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Get Smart, “CSI: Miami” and “Sons of Anarchy.” He played tour guide Uri in the aforementioned Chernobyl Diaries.

Diatchenko also voiced characters in multiple video games throughout his career, including Wolfenstein, Uncharted 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us and Fallout 4.
