Development on First-Person Monster Game ‘Darkborn’ Halted

Unfortunate news from developers The Outsiders today, as their Darkborn project – formerly known as Project Wight – has officially suspended development. This comes after the devs had revealed a 15-minute gameplay video last April.

“In spite of our best efforts to continue, ultimately we had to make the difficult decision to halt development on the project,” the studio announced. “Perhaps one day we will return to it: we all hope so and genuinely appreciate the support of everyone who followed us over the years.”

Sadly, the cool premise of playing as the monster against a bunch of Vikings will fall by the wayside. The Outsiders have now apparently pivoted onto something else, though what that is hasn’t been announced.
