New ‘Witcher 3’ Mod Arms Geralt With Guns

Yeah, The Witcher 3 is cool and all, but you know what Geralt really needs? Guns. Lots of guns. That’s exactly what Roenaxx’s Firearms mod adds to the game.

Now obviously, Geralt isn’t going to be running around with an AK-47 or something anachronistic like that. The mod introduces flintlock-style pistols (10 in all), with seven different types of craftable ammunition and three different tiers.

Roenaxx is clear to point out that the guns aren’t meant to replace Geralt’s swords, but are instead “a ‘finisher’ type weapon”. Plus, it’s not perfect, as there are moments (such as crossbow bolts potentially clipping through the model) that break immersion. Still, it’s a pretty cool mod to check out.

It’ll at least keep you busy until the second season of the Netflix series rolls around.
