‘The Last of Us Part II’ is Now The Fastest-Selling UK PS4 Release

To the surprise of no one, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II has become Sony’s fastest-selling release this generation (at least in the UK). While exact figures are still to be determined (as digital sales aren’t factored), the followup to the 2013 hit landed at number one on the UK charts, and beat out another Naughty Dog game, Uncharted 4, for the fastest-selling debut.

By comparison, The Last of Us Part II crushed the original’s debut on the PS3, with 76% higher launch sales. The Last of Us Part II is also the biggest UK launch for any boxed game released this year so far, with sales 40% higher than the previous record holder, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The Last of Us Part II is available now exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
