‘The Rental’ Trailer Promises a Killer Secluded Getaway [Video]

Paranoia turns to violence in the very first trailer for Dave Franco‘s directorial debut, The Rental, which looks to devolve into a slasher of sorts?!

The Rental is a character-driven horror thriller about two couples who rent a vacation home for what should be a celebratory weekend get-away.

“Two couples looking to celebrate their seed money from a new business venture, embark on a weekend getaway to a seemingly perfect house they’ve booked online. But what begins as a festive weekend for the four close friends turns into something far more sinister as secrets they’ve kept from each other are exposed and paranoia grows that they may not be alone.”

Featuring Alison Brie (“GLOW”) and Dan Stevens (The Guest, Apostle), The Rental co-stars Sheila Vand (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) and Jeremy Allen White (“Shameless”).

Like they did with the creature feature The Wretched, IFC is bringing The Rental to select drive-in theaters across the country on July 24, 2020, and it’ll also be coming to On Demand services on that same date.

Also, tonight, June 18 at 8:30 PM, those in Los Angeles can take part in a one-night-only pop-up at the ArcLight Cinemas at Vineland Drive-In. You can purchase tickets here.

We also have the film’s eye-catching and hauntingly beautiful theatrical art shared below the trailer.
