The CW Developing Series Adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘The Revelations of Becka Paulson’

Published in 1984, Stephen King‘s short story The Revelations of Becka Paulson was adapted for “The Outer Limits” back in 1997, and a brand new adaptation is now in the works.

The potential one-hour drama is titled “Revelations,” Deadline reports, and it comes from Maisie Culver (“Last Man Standing”), Katie Lovejoy (“Dead Inside”) and Warner Bros. TV.

In the story, “After accidentally shooting herself in the brain with a nail gun, a Pollyanna-ish Becca Paulson is recruited by an over-it Jesus to be his “chosen one” in stopping the apocalypse. In order to save the world, Becca will have to prove that our deeply backward planet Earth is redeemable — starting with her quirky midwestern hometown.”

Culver is writing and executive producing, with Lovejoy also executive producing.
