Trailer for ‘The Antenna’ Broadcasts Horror with Tons of Black Ooze! [Exclusive]

Evil comes in waves.

One of the coolest under-the-radar horror films that came out of last year’s Toronto International Film Festival was The Antenna, the Orçun Behram-directed Turkish film with political elements that stands as an allegory for the lack of the freedom of speech in today’s Turkey.

Dark Star Pictures acquired the film and will release it in Virtual Theaters* on Friday, October 2nd before launching it on VOD** platforms October 20th.

In the film, “In a dystopian Turkey, the Government installs new networks throughout the country to monitor information. The installation goes wrong in a crumbling apartment complex and Mehmet (Ihsan Önal), the building intendant, will have to confront the evil entity behind the inexplicable transmissions that threaten the residents.

Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive look at the film’s official trailer in which the inhabitants of an apartment building are caught in a living nightmare when a radical new communications technology goes horribly awry. There are flashes of terror and tons of creepy black ooze. Check it out…

*VIRTUAL THEATERS (October 2)-Including: Los Angeles (Laemmle), New York and major cities (Museum Of The Moving Image (MOMI), Alamo On Demand) and Philadelphia (Film Society).

**VOD (US & Canada) (October 20): Including: iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Xbox, Vudu, Dish Network and all major cable providers.
