Docuseries “History of Horror” Returns to AMC in October With Six Brand New Episodes [Teaser]

In 2018, AMC’s series “Eli Roth’s History of Horror” took a deep dive into several different sub-genres of horror, featuring interviews with all the top masters, and a second season is on the way this Halloween. Season 2 will premiere Saturday, October 10 at 10/9c.

You can check out the brand new key art and teaser trailer below.

“Season 2 of Eli Roth’s History of Horror digs even deeper into the catacombs of creepiness, exhuming landmark films and cult classics while chewing on the entrails of recent horror cinema. The series explores the dark power and wicked fun of scary movies, the craft that went into making them, and the ways that horror films reflect the anxieties of their times. The story is told by Eli Roth and a celebrated cast of writers, directors, actors, cinematographers, composers, and special effects artists who bring our nightmares to life.”

The new season will explore:

  • “magic-wielding witches”
  • “misshapen monsters”
  • “infamously evil youngsters”
  • “hell houses”
  • “body horror”
