‘Heretic’-Inspired FPS ‘Amid Evil’ Receiving Prequel Expansion

A little under a year since receiving a free DLC, developer Indefatigable has announced that their throwback shooter Amid Evil will be receiving a full-blown prequel expansion under the name “The Black Labyrinth” (which sounds like something out of the Ultima series, but that’s just me), containing new levels, new enemies, and new weapons.

The expansion will also explore your origins as the champion, as well as tie up the loose ends left by the alpha maps (“something DARK is coming…”).

There’s no release date yet for the expansion, though publisher New Blood Interactive said that it’s coming soon, and gave us a sneak peek with the announcement trailer.

Amid Evil is currently available on Steam. A Switch port is expected later this year.
