Lovecraftian ‘Lust From Beyond’ Receiving Second Standalone Prequel

Well, it’s another Lust From Beyond article, so you know what to expect. Well, sadly for some, there’s no weird trailer filled with NSFW stuff this time, but what is here is news that the game will have a standalone prequel in the form of Lust From Beyond: Scarlet! This is on top of the demo that was released back in July that also functioned as a prologue.

Scarlet (which you can wishlist here on Steam) follows a man named Alan, whose sexual drive is driving him insane. To deal with his issues, Alan meets with a psychiatrist. During the session, Alan talks about a strange date with a woman in an abandoned theatre.

You can guess where this is going.

Unlike the Prologue demo, Scarlet is meant to “present topics and mechanics” such as “survival, gore and sexual elements”. Moreover, the game will introduce a new faction to the game’s world in the form of the Scarlet Lodge. Of course, the Steam listing makes mention of “interactive sex”, so you can probably guess who this is aimed towards.

Luckily, Scarlet won’t have any spoilers in regards to the main game. So, if you’d prefer to not get your hands dirty, then you can wait for Lust From Beyond, which is expected to be released September 24 on Steam. Meanwhile, Lust From Beyond: Scarlet has a release date of “Soon”.
