Magnolia Acquires ‘Rubber’ Director Quentin Dupieux’s ‘Mandibles’ for 2021 Release

Up next from RubberKeep an Eye Out and Deerskin director Quentin Dupieux is the bizarro comedy Mandibles, and today we’ve learned it’ll be released in 2021 via Magnolia Pictures.

The company acquired domestic rights to the film.

Used for comedic purposes rather than scary movie purposes, the film centers on a massive fly, described as a “wild and surreal road movie” and an “utterly unique comedy.”

Check out the trailer below, via Screen International.

In Mandibles

“When simple-minded friends Jean-Gab and Manu find a giant fly trapped in the boot of a car, they decide to train it in the hope of making a ton of cash.”

Grégoire Ludig, David Marsais, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Coralie Russier and India Hair star.
