New Gameplay Revealed for ‘The Walking Dead Onslaught’

Survios Inc. and AMC have revealed a brand-new gameplay video for their upcoming The Walking Dead Onslaught. The game’s project lead, Andrew Abedian, walks players through the Alexandria Safe Zone and the paths they can follow to rebuild the settlement, gain new survivors, and acquire access to gameplay upgrades.

The video also provides a detailed look at the game’s armory, which players can stockpile with new weapons to fend off the lurking walker threat across the game’s campaign and scavenger modes. At the armory, players can equip and upgrade weapons that best suit their personal playstyle, including melee weapons, shoguns, rifles, crossbows, and “iconic Walking Dead firearms” that you’ll be able to unlock as you complete missions and quests.

Also announced were the Standard and Deluxe Editions of The Walking Dead Onslaught, which are now available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store. Pre-orders will receive exclusive Sheriff Rick and Hunter Daryl skins, as well as the exclusive Golden Katana and Golden Knuckle Knife weapon skins. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the following:

  • Full Game Download
  • Digital Mini-soundtrack
  • Digital Game Art Book
  • Alexandria Crafting Starter Kit
  • Iconic Show Weapons Pack
  • PlayStation exclusive Avatar Pack
  • PlayStation exclusive PS4 Theme

The Walking Dead Onslaught will be available for Steam, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR on September 29th. Physical editions of the game will be available in October at select retailers.
