Nike is getting into the Halloween spirit this year with a brand new pair of A Nightmare on Elm Street/Freddy Krueger-themed kicks, done up in the Air Max 95 style.
Brought to our attention by Hype Beast this week, the sneakers may not immediately register as Freddy-inspired, capturing his iconic colors in a muted, low-key sort of way. Looking a bit more “dirty brown” than “Freddy sweater green,” the shoes are outfitted with red stripes and gray/silver accents inspired by Freddy’s glove, and they also feature light blood splatter.
Hype Beast explains, “The upper of the shoe is constructed of mesh and canvas to replicate Krueger’s sweater. Accents on the base include grey suede toecaps, checkered tongue and metallic silver overlays speckled with red in reference to Freddy’s favorite razor glove.”
The iconic Nike swoosh logo printed on the insoles is dripping with blood.
Look for these sometime in October, on the road to the big day.
