‘Silent Hill: Respite’ Mod For ‘Amnesia’ Reminds us of Better Days

Seeing as Frictional Games’ Amnesia: The Dark Descent recently hit the big one-oh, and at the same time, Konami decided to give Metal Gear Solid fans some love (and once again neglecting Silent Hill fans), why not put ’em together? That’s exactly what you get in the recently-released mod for Amnesia in Silent Hill: Respite.

Created by TrollForce as a tribute to Team Silent “and the titles that they have made during their time at Konami from 1996 to 2005”, Silent Hill: Respite takes place in the Cafe 5to2 from the original Silent Hill (the cafe where Harry Wakes up at the beginning of the game). In spite of that, the mod drops several references to the first four games in the series “to show what the series has meant to the community”.

In the video below, TrollForce goes over the makings of the mod, including future updates for the mod. Speaking of which, the mod will see an update for Halloween, and an eventual expansion around Christmas. Until Konami gets their act together and finally addresses the shenanigans that have been going on, once again, it’s the fans who are here to rescue us.

The latest entry in the Amnesia series, Amnesia: Rebirth, is set to release on October 20 for PS4 and PC.

Props to DreadXP for this.

The Top 10 Streaming Scary Movies of Today (According to Netflix)

Given that Netflix really is the master of their own data, how many times a viewer streams The Ridiculous 6, or what films don't get watched all the way straight through, or how many times someone watches an episode of Bill Nye Saves the World, it was easy for them to come up with the list based on just one percentage: 70 percent.
