‘Dead Cells’ Receiving Surprise December Update

Two and a half years after its release, Motion Twin’s roguelike Dead Cells will be receiving its 20th update next month. This announcement comes after the August release of the “Barrels o’ Fun” update, which added a new environment, weapons and enemies.

Details at the moment are light on the mid-December release, although Motion Twin states that the new update will be “full of little stocking fillers to keep you entertained for a bit longer”. Those “stocking stuffers” include, among other things, a new weapon, new skins, a new diet option and “a few other changes” that are in the midst of testing.

To tease fans even more, the devs also said that fans can expect “a few more pieces of bigger news” over the next few months, as well.

Dead Cells is currently available for PC via Steam and GOG.com, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
